This project is a preliminary exploration of creating a narrative game set in 1920s Istanbul—a period marked by Turkey's transformative revolution and an abundance of fascinating characters. The concept is loosely inspired by historical accounts, including newspaper articles by Ernest Hemingway from his time at the iconic Pera Palace. The game is envisioned as a prototype for historically inspired storytelling, utilizing dialogue and item collection as core mechanics.

In this initial version, the focus is on experimenting with positioning a famous historical figure as the main point of view, allowing players to uncover information through simple interactions. Historical artifacts like the Orient Express train serve as visual elements to evoke the atmosphere of the era. The prototype begins just before boarding the train and concludes after the player arrives at the hotel and completes a few interactions in the lobby.

Pera Palace provides a wealth of visual material to enhance the game, including photographs, postcards, and sketches. The book itself also contains black-and-white photography that vividly brings the described environments to life.
